Saturday 24th November

Great news today, we took her for a sail to see how the rudder adjustment has affected the handling and she now turns left as well as right!
A bit of a clean and spruce up and she is looking a bit more ship-shape.

The stainless steel side plates were fitted to the starboard side today, along with the top sections of hardwood as the old ones were rotten through.  The colour is different at the moment but come the springtime the lower one will be stripped and varnished and should be a closer match to the new ones.

So the horn mast has been fitted, I've resprayed the mast in black as the varnish and stain was shot through and would not have looked good without an alteration.  Some of the deck fittings are in black so this should tie in nicely, it also sets off the chrome horns very well.

Alot of hard work and elbow grease there.
